Snowboard

Below you’ll find everything about the winter madness with a snowboard

Nomad - RossignolThe snowboard adventure began in winter 2001. Beginnings were not only difficult but also painful. In the learning process I first broke a board, and then a finger.

Since 2002, it was getting better and better. I got my own equipment, a lovely Rossignol Nomad plus sturdy pair of shoes ‘Forum’.

Time passed and I got better and better. To broaden my horizon I kept visiting various winter resorts. Most often I went to Kasprowy Wierch (33 times) and my favorite slope Strebskie Pleso in Slovakia (26 times).

Head Matrix

In the 2006/2007 season, before an excursion into the Alps, I got new snowboarding equipment: Head Matrix, Drake bindings and shoes by Nidecker.

The 10th anniversary season began, as befits such a jubilee, on two best European slopes: the Swiss Saas Fee and Zermatt. Thanks to the purchase of the Slovakia-Super-Skipass (valid for 15 days) I continued the winter season in Slovakia.

According to my calculations, in the past 10 years I’ve spent 150 days on the slope, and went down various mountains around 2,5 thousand times, which amounts to nearly 5.000 km!

Moreover, during these 10 years, I saw a total of 34 ski resorts (i.e. 17 Polish ones, 2 Austrian, 2 Swiss and 13 Slovakian). I have abandoned my snowboard for the time being, but if some unique opportunity will come along (what do I know, maybe a slope in Iran, or Las Lenas in Argentina) then me and the board will certainly 'get back together'.
